You saw him this tour? Make us jealous. Post your live reviews here!
I went and saw him live for both shows, lining up hours before the doors opened just so i could get as close as i could to him. I can honestly say i died and went to heaven, it’s simply not normal for someone to sound as amazing as he does
i would do anything to be the proud owner of that gutair i saw him at soundwave and MET him
)))))))) and his shows in melbourne were amazing.
Ive seen dallas live around 4 or 5 times, including him perfoming with alexisonfire.
He is such an amazing artist. His songs have gotten me through some tough times. I actually have a tattoo on my arm from a song he wrote.
My friend got to meet him through her work and i almost cried with jealousy.
I would love love love to win his guitar. Just owning something that he touched would be AMAZING!!
I went to the Melbourne show last night and got to met him afterwards. He is so incredibly kind and humble. My honest-to-God hero.
I saw him in Brisbane last night. My god, he is an incredible musician. So down to earth and chilled, humble. Someone even asked him to play Boiled Frogs by Alexisonfire and he happily obliged on acoustic guitar, it was amazing.
actually… he had it on his set list to play. haha. ive got a copy of it
Managed through some quirk of fate & debaucherous intervention to make the second Sydney gig with both of my brothers……(can I get a hallelujah?) Damn near wept……….the man brings me untold joy (& doesn’t seem to mind it if I sob a little either)……undiluted genius! Honestly the highlight gig of the last 18 months. I’m now focusing all my super powers on acquiring that guitar……& then deciding if I can bear to gift it to my brother……..
Saw his Brisbane show on Friday night. Nothing will ever compare to it in my life. His music and voice is just the most beautiful phenomena in this world, and is all I need to get through a hard time. Some of his songs have also been really strong connections between me and my partner. Just amazing
Saw him live at Sydney Enmore Theatre…made sure I was right up the front. I have never ever EVER felt about a singer the way I feel about Dallas Green. His music fills my soul with such calmness and emotion, I honestly can’t describe it only to say a day where I don’t play his music is a day wasted. I am completely and utterly in love with Dallas Green.
Saw the show in Adelaide, first time I had seen him play City and Colour songs in a few years [since following his tour with Dashboard Confessional through Canada]. It was beyond amazing. Didn’t know what to expext when i saw them set the stage for a full band as was looking forward to just him and his guitar but it was better than i hoped. The arrangements made perfect songs even more emotive. Frustrating that he isn’t better rewarded for his talent. I am sick of all the computers that sing current music when there is a guy like Dallas showcasing what he does. Could not have been happier.
Saw him live in Brisbane last friday…I really can’t find words to describe it. Complete and utter perfection, the happiest moment in time. His music is life.
Saw him at soundwave a few years back and his show was just as mind blowing now then it was back then.
I would go as far as saying that cd/mp3 quality does a bad job at capturing how good he really is.
Most artists sound the same or worse then their recordings these day but Dallas Green is a huge exception, his music is a movement and his voice is defiantly up their with the best.
To anyone that missed his show you missed out on one of the most amazing live performances of the year.
Met him the other night after the Brisbane show, pure genius. He sounds so spectacular live, and is so lovely in person. He told us during and after his performance that it was one of the best shows of his life, and he confirmed this when I met him. Such a beautiful man.
I have now seen Dallas live 8 times. (Including AOF)
I am a Melbournian, who flew to Sydney to see both shows at the Enmore as well as the Melbourne show. I have lyrics from Day old hate and Emerald Street tattooed down both sides of my ribs. Dallas never ever ever fails to blow me totally away. Everything he does is gold. I have met him a few times, and he actually remembers me. Out the back of the Enmore he met with everyone of about 50 people waiting at the back door. His music goes beyond the descriptive powers of the human language.
i have a two tattoos inspired by him on my feet, he is amazing saw him live couple of months ago and iv seen him live 9 times, he is my hero and i also play the guitar as well so to be the owner of that beautiful guitar would be amazing.
OMG I would do ANYTHING for THIS guitar!!!! :O
I saw him at soundwave and I saw him 3 times when I was on holiday in Canada… he’s just so EPIC!
EVERYTHING Dallas Green does is EPIC!
I saw City and Colour play at the Tivoli in Brisbane and I’m not even sure if I’ll be able to use my developing writing skills to explain how truly incredible the concert was. Dallas Green connects with his audience in a way which leaves each and every person feeling personally in debt to ensure he has a great night and to give him the respect he deserves. The support act was by a band called Hey Rosetta which were really great and reminded me of a mix between Cat Empire, The Wombats and some wicked Orchestra. There were probably 8 people or something in the band who all played multiple instruments (cue Cat Empire reference) with classic instruments such as violins and cellos (cue Orchestra ref) as well as a bunch of different guitars, drums, multiple keyboards and probs other instruments that my lacking music knowledge can’t name for you. Overall it creates this upbeat music which is both danceable and relaxed (cue Wombats ref). Anyway then Dallas came on and every girl in the audience put a group curse in their heads on his wife. I never really realised how funny he is! He kept telling stories and anecdotes throughout the show in between songs and whateva and he could easily have been a comedian as a back up job. His humour reminds me of a slightly nicer version of Arj Barker but than again I could just be linking the American accents. All of my favourites songs managed to make the line up other than the 2nd half of The Girl and Save Your Sissors but I guess you can’t get EVERYTHING. Other than that minor, minor, basically non-existent disappointment he was truly amazing, his voice is ridiculously beautiful and especially considering he’s been on tour singing all de time for months and months. I think my favourite part of the night was either when he pointed out his lighting dude is a huge fan of marijuana and that anyone in the audience, if they were to have pot, should definitely come forth and share some with him later on.. OR when he told the audience “thank you for one of the best nights of my life”. That gave me some severe idol-titus shivers up the ol’ spine.
