SO. After working our butts off all year, we’ve had probably the most incredible 2 weeks at radio which totally rules.

We’ve been working with so many incredibly talented artists so it’s really hard to take all the credit, but I’ll definitely do my best to try.

Weighing in at a huge 6″8′, Tyler has definitely got the heart to match. He is one of the sweetest guys I’ve had the pleasure of working with this year and is also known as one of the guitarists for a little band called Band of Horses. Every person who met Tyler while he was doing the thousands of interviews I threw at him fell in love instantly. He played an intimate set at the SPA offices, which sounded just as beautiful as I expected.

Legendary film director David Lynch made his solo album debut this year which was a huge, huge hit with fans and critics alike. I feel it was an album that made everyone secretly hate him a little bit because it seems every bone in that man’s body is a creative one. Yes, even that one.

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s the legends of soul! These guys can barely put a foot wrong at the best of times and they have definitely struck gold with this album. After countless “So is it a new album? Re-issues?! TELL US GENNA!” conversations, everyone was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was, in fact, neither. They, together with Daptone, decided to release an album full of all those live favourites that were never previously available on CD before. Well played!

I couldn’t go past this clip.. The title track to 2010′s ‘I Learned The Hard Way’.. Watch Sharon go an’ ‘act all crazy’ while her mate ‘takes care of bi’ness’. Such a great track.

On top of all of that, Clairy Browne and the Bangin’ Rackettes won ABC Radio National Breakfast’s ALBUM OF THE YEAR!

They beat Adele, Lanie Lane, Tom Waits and the bucket load of other incredible albums released in 2011. Not bloody bad for a debut album now is it!
